  1. Baby lambs in the kitchen, spring is on its way!

  2. This may be a weird request. But I was wondering if you had any extra empty lip balm tins that I could buy. I have called just about every store in Twin and no one sales them and I need empty ones by this Sunday. (So I don’t have time to order on line without it costing me an arm and a leg!) I would need about 24 empty tins. Again I realize this is a crazy request but if you could let me know that would be great. Thanks Chelsea Hansen

    • Yes, I have lip balm tubes and the clear 5 gram or 10 gram lip balm pots in stock. I also have 2 oz round tins. I don’t currently have slide top tins.

  3. Im a beginner .. just wonderning when is the latest i can order a bee package? Probably tooo. late?

    • We will have packages available until we sell out. I can’t give you an exact date, but as we get down to the last 25 packages or so the individual package bee order pages will show how many of each we have left.

  4. Thank you, thank you for the Christmas goodie basket you gave me! My family and I have enjoyed it so much! We hadn’t tried all of your products before. We love the soap bar! We also love the chapstick and lotion. We have noticed a difference in our skin. We need more! Do you ship? Your products are really top notch!

  5. Just wanted to tell you guys at Tubbs Berry Farm that I really appreciate you and what you do. I have had nothing but positive experiences and would recommend you to anyone. If you want top quality Bee equipment and bees then Tubbs is the place to go. Thanks again for what you do.

    Dave

  6. Do you take orders and ship products? Thanks.

    • Yes, we would be happy to ship, we are working on getting more of our products on the website and shipping to figure automatically. Till then, email or call and we can get you a shipping cost.

      Heidi

  13. Hi Heidi

Do you sell any propolis or pollen products?

We just ordered some propolis tincture online and it got me wondering if you offered raw chunks or some other variety.

We always love visiting your farm!

    Wendy

    • We don’t have any pollen at the moment, we will only harvest if the bees have extra which doesn’t happen very often in Twin Falls. We do harvest propolis, but usually later in the year. I am out of propolis right now, I will try to remember to let you know when we harvest, but feel free to check back!
      Heidi

  14. Hi Heidi,

Do you ever sell fresh eggs or baby chicks? My son would love to raise a few egg layers in our backyard! Maybe classes, too?

    🙂

    Wendy

    • We don’t currently have chicks but our eggs are fertile if you want to try hatching some! Chickens are pretty easy to raise backyard, we don’t have a class planned at the moment but you aren’t the first to ask, maybe we will do a class in the future. You are always welcome to ask questions though, we’ll do our best to help!

  26. Please add me to your notification list for all berries.
    Thank you,

  27. Hello! Would love to know when the raspberries are ready.

    • I added you to the berry list, I’ll let you know. It will probably be in September, they are looking good right now!

  28. Would love a canning class!

    • A canning class is one we have been thinking of adding, I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to do it! In the meantime, you are always welcome to call and ask canning questions, and are welcome to come help with what I am canning and learn that way!

    • I would love to learn canning…

  29. I would love to make it a day trip with my grandkids. We will be coming from the Salt Lake Valley. How long do you think it would take us to get there? What is your exact address so I look it up on Google Maps? When will the resberries ready to pick? I grew up in California so strawberry and cherry picking is one of my very best memories. I look forward to sharing it with my grandkids. They range in age from 6 to 16 yrs. I think we will all really enjoy it.
    Thanks,
    Sue Allen

  30. Everything I know about bees has come from Tubbs’ Berry Farm. I could not imagine buying my beekeeping supplies anywhere else. They have real-world experience, and they are happy to share that well-earned knowledge with anyone interested in bees.

Thank you to the Tubbs family for all you do for the bees, beekeepers, and for beekeeping in the Magic Valley!

If you are going to get into beekeeping, or want bee products or supplies, you can’t go wrong with Tubbs’ Berry Farm. Maybe you can find a deal somewhere else that looks appealing, but then you will miss out on the personal touch of shared knowledge about keeping bees that Kirk and Heidi include with every sale.

  31. Another Bee Day has come and gone…

I can’t imagine missing this one day each year when Tubbs’ Berry Farm brings in packaged bees and queens for all their great customers! It is a great day of beekeeping demos sandwiched between bee package distribution and equipment sales to a steady stream of friendly customers.

Even the customers, some with a lot of beekeeping experience and some getting into the hobby for the first time, make the day a lot of fun! It’s just a great day around a lot of really genuine people.

Bee Day gets better every year. I can see it becoming a two-day festival in the future. (Ooops. Did I say that out loud? The Tubbs’ work so hard to put this all together for us… maybe two days is too much for them?)

One day, or two, I hope I can be there to help for many years to come!

  32. My mom just sent me a lotion bar in my care package! She knows how much I miss Idaho. I love this bar so much. She bought me the unscented one because she didn’t know which one I would like and so I was wondering what scents you do sell? Is there a honey scent or a vanilla scent or a coconut one?

    • I currently have lavender, and a geranium and palmarosa. I have other scent oils, so I am happy to take requests!

  33. How much is your honey?

  34. I would like how to start garden seeds. Garden planting. Compatable plants etc.

  35. Both lines of bees have been selected for hygienic behavior. I had great success with the Carolinian last year.

  36. I’ve gotten Carniolans from Tubbs Berry Farm since starting my beekeeping adventure 5 years ago and they consistently make it through winter.

  37. Both are selected for hygienic behavior. These are very gentle.

  38. I would like to see canning, herbs, gardening and anything else I just wanna learn to be self sufficient! Its just nice to see it here in town

  39. We would like to come up and pick raspberries. Please let us know when we can.

  40. I am interested in getting honey and bringing my kids to pick raspberries. When are we able to do that?

    • We harvest honey in September, and our raspberry season is generally September through frost, so set up a time then!

  41. Hi there,
Lincoln’s kindergarten classes would like to come for a field trip again this fall. Are you still doing those? Thanks you!

  42. Would like updates when your pumpkin patch and children’s area opens.
    Thanks

    • Hi Sharon,
Our open days and times are posted on this page, on our calendar, and on the Pumpkin Patch Hours Page! We open Sept. 25 this year!

  43. We came out with our family on Saturday and had a blast. Everything is reasonably priced. Not only did the kids not want to leave but we didn’t want to leave. Your family and team of workers are an awesome crew! We always enjoy activities that are family planned and locally owned. Good job and keep up the good work!

  44. We have purchased the half share for the past two summers. The produce variety is great at getting me out of my usual vegetable rut, and we love the addition of berries and honey to the more typical CSA list. Kirk and Heidi are wonderful to work with, and we’re looking forward to next summer!

  45. I would really enjoy a class on soap & lotion making; also lip balms. This would be a fun day and a great way to utilize other things bees make!

  46. Very, very good! Lots of good information and encouraging support!! Fun!

  47. I have only had my Carolinian bees for a year now, but they made it through the winter and produced very nicely for a first year hive!

  48. I would love to learn Canning and how to make jam:)

  49. Have you guys thought about offering season passes? It would save us lots of money… We bring our girls at least 10 times during the season you’re open

  50. I can’t find an address anywhere?!!

    • You can find the address at the bottom of any of our website pages, and there is a map and directions on the contact us tab at the top of the page!

  51. Do you guys offer a day throughout the season that is reasonably cheaper than a normal day? I know that this is a business too and your prices aren’t expensive it just adds up with quite a group of people. Even with the $1 off.

    • We don’t currently offer a discount day, just the weekday discount for those that come Monday-Thursday! Our goal was to keep the price low the whole season instead of charging more one day and less another.

  52. Any chance you’ll be open past October 31st?

  53. Been taking our class there for years. It is always the favorite field trip for our students.

    Thanks

  54. This stuff worked great for us. In the fall we run out of time to get the garden put away. We used this last two years. Lays great and comes up end of season easy. They are correct get dirt on it and it’s gone half way thru winter.

  55. I would be interested in doing something similar with my 25 acre farm on the North Side. I want to keep growing anything other than houses in our community.

    • Good luck! We spent most of the last year working with the city to get zoning changed in our area to allow some of the things that are a grey area like our classes, and allow us to put in a building with actual bathrooms for our farm guests!

  56. Question for you about rendering beeswax?
I rendered some beeswax following some research from online and Utube. I used a cheesecloth method. I still have a little brown in the rendered wax. Should I do the same process again? What do you suggest I do to hopefully make a clean product?
